Poisonous for cats
« on: June 26, 2007, 21:59:21 »
Take great care when planting - there are a lot of plants out there that are poisonous for cats - especially lilies.  Apparently if they get the pollen on their fur and lick it off the will suffer rapid kidney failure and die a horrible death.  We were warned about this by our vet a couple of years ago, and had just bought a job lot of them.  So we got rid quickly.

Actually, looking at the list there doesn't seem to be much that is safe  ??? ??? ???

I like cats but I don't like other people's cats poisoning and digging up my plants/seedlings. Remind me to plant non-friendly-cat plants next year....Mind you, my dog seems to be on top of this problem so far.
