Sweetcorn

What have I done wrong :(?
They grew well, formed three or four corn, and then.... the corn opened up to reveal the seed, with half of them missing.
One of the top male fertilizers even formed seeds. ???
They taste good and sweet though.

Just listened to the Jeremy Vine radio show today. The allotment expert said this year was not so good for his sweetcorn. Too much wet weather. He only got half kernals also. Don't worry too much. No 2 years are the same.

I had a year like that last year :D ... I'm hoping for a better performance this year !! ;)
