We've got international peeps at the end, have a word with Lady Cosmos, she can send the parcel to you, and then you can send the parcel to me in Spain. Does that sound ok?  :)

Oh that looks really bad.  :o
I hope you were on high ground.
On second thoughts....I think I'll just send the parcel and wait until next year  :(

As I see that the parcel is coming to the Netherlands, I would like to join as well.

Is it OK when Ruud sends it to me and then I send it to Biscombe?
I hope it is. I'm already looking forward to have some kind of real life contact with at least some of my digital fellow allotmenteers.

Guess what arrived today?

No, not a take away...

No, not rain - well yes, rain, but that's not it -

No, not my pension, cheeky...

No, not an elephant, now you're just being silly...

A parcel? YES! A great big Spanish Galleon of a parcel!

Being topped up as I write (tricky, I know!) and on its way tomorrow to...

Hoots! Mony a Royal Mile away!

 ;D

Hi Lauren

It is even more exciting than I imagined!
My guess is that it's a bit like looking into another persons bookcase and trying to figure out what kind of person this is by the books s/he has.
The seeds will probably reveal quite a lot about the people in this chain: are there rare seeds or traditionals? strange seeds left over from experiments? seeds that require special care and knowledge? seeds that add to specific collections (tomatoes, peppers, squash)?
I will try to spot the differences with the forum as a whole.

Also I'm forever watching this thread for the reactions of the ones before me. And as I'm almost at the end of the chain, I'll be obsessed when the parcel touches Dutch ground and start hyperventilating when it is delivered at my door.

Bye for now.
Garjan

Ages to go yet  :( - so I'm whiling away the time by sorting and packing seeds. Incidentally, has anyone mentioned this game to non gyo-ers?! They really don't get it  ;D

Know what you mean! I love all this swapping, and it's sooooo exciting watching the progress of the parcel! I dare not tell mates or peeps at work they will think I'm a total anorak!  ;)

Well when I arrived home tonight (about an hour and a half ago) there was a card behind the door to say that Parcelforce had been unable to deliver a parcel at 7.25 am this morning, despite the fact that there were 3 sentient human beings up and about at that time and there is no problem with the front door bell. This is the second time in 2 weeks that Parcelforce have failed to ring our doorbell when there were people there waiting for them. The first time they actually didn't bother leaving a card either.

Anyway the problem is that my car is broken and in the garage for repairs so it will likely be Friday before I can pick up the parcel. Sorry folks!!  :-[ :-[ I'll keep you informed on its progress.
