desiree and kestrel, they seem to be best...mind you, the wet would encourage the slugs this year, anyway  :(

I wonder why slugs attack some varieties and not others ?

It probably depends on whether they went to roast, chip or boil em!  ;D

International Kidney and Kestrel were untouched on my allotment.  Still have Maxine, PFA and a couple of others I can't remember to go.

Hi, I've found Red Duke Of York, Sharpe's Express, Concorde and Kestrel to be pretty slug resistant.
Best of luck, whatever you go for.

And we consistently find that Romano, along with RDoY and Desiree are greatly slug proof

Further information on commercial potato variety characteristics, such as pest and disease resistance such as blight, and yield for common potato varieties, is available at http://www.potato.org.uk/department/export_and_seed/seed_variety_database/vartables.html

Under “variety tolerance tables”.

The tables are a bit complicated but can be useful. Remember that the higher the number up to 9, means greater resistance, though for slug resistance, I do not think that any are greater than 5.
I find that the coloured potatoes have better resistance, as the colour is contained in an extra layer of skin.
So far this year in Glasgow, even though it has been a bit wetter than usual, my potatoes have been almost slug free.

I can recommend PFA too. Other varieties I grew (Picasso and Pentlant Javelin) were badly eaten by slugs, woodlice and wireworms but PFA gave me loads of clean tubers.

My best 2 varieties this year, & every year with kestrel. No slug damage. As for Cara and Pentland Crown... well I got about 2/3 of my crop undamaged.
