We moved here a year ago and 'found' some flower beds. We decided to see that came up as well as planting a few flower seeds and bulbs. The soil is really sandy and apart for a few gladi's (which my puppies ate) not much has happened.
I have loads of seeds that are recommended to be sown this time of year for early flowering next year. I am quite happy to rip out the sad looking plants there, but want to make sure that we do what is right this time. We have two compost heaps ready to be spread, should we dig these into the soil and leave them for a while before sowing the seeds, or can it be done at the same time?
