DP. Will put 1st Sept. to son. Just depends if he has an American Vehicle meet to go to. He has gone to one today, and one he has been persuaded to help run. Anyhow fingers crossed.
Would be lovely to have a walk round Mayfield, only thing is my dearest friend of 30plus years is no longer with us, but I will certainly enjoy.
Soon as I know I will confirm. Many thanks for getting this meet together
Lorna.

Yipee. Son told me 99% that he will be able to bring me. I suggested that we booked in B&B for overnight stay but he said he needed to come back Sat night. All being well we plan to leave reasonably early then he will do a tour of the villages and places we knew. He will drop me off at yours at whatever time you tell us (they will go off and have a meal) then pick me up at an arranged time. Bingo... sussed ;D OMG am I the only oldie so far??

Just looked now, and all the travelodge cheap rooms are gone for 1st September. I wonder if it is because of the droves of people all trying to get to the meet?
I'm off to work on another plan. 8)

Really looking forward to meeting a few cyber friends. John did say it would be a job to find a reasonably priced place for a Sat. Fortunately for me he wants to come home Sat night, he said he doesn't mind what time. Hope we come in the chevvy then if I am tired he can put down the rear seats and make me a bed ;D

Hooray! ;D (Lorna me Mum can pop over to keep you company if you want! ;D She loves a "do"!)
Sorry Jill and Manics, maybe we will make it an annual barbecue, and you can come next year. :'( :'( :'(
Anyone looking for accommodation nearby, if you PM me I can give you local areas to try.
