newbies here!

hello all,just to introduce ourselves,i am rachel,married to paul,and we have just been granted our very first allotment on  a beautiful site in liverpool.so far all going really well,its totally overgrown and neglected,but already on just day three we are begininning to see actual ground! although we are both keen gardeners,we are looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully picking your brains! bye for now rach x

All I can say is 'wow' saddad!  Gives me something to aim towards, definitely!  Your plot is beautiful, with a capital B!  Serious plot envy going on in this corner of the UK. ;D

wow saddad i only wish our before was as gorgeous as yours,its seriously seriously overgrown with a huge bramble collective in the middle! saying that we are welcoming the challenge and i reckon its the right time of year for just that!thanks all for lovely welcome! oh sadda your after is just lovely and soooo inspiring!! xxx

Welcome Rachel & Paul - you will very quickly find that this is a great place for information.  Lots of friendly people always willing to give advice.  Been a big help to me and my friend (also newbies!).

No sorry, no Website/blog... I'm an oldie in the techno stakes... you 're welcome to come and have a look though. That was the second digging... the Rhubarb crown was the only thing that came with the plot, apart from Couch and Creeping Buttercups!

thanks again for the friendly welcome,and yes vegigrower we are both huge elvis fans(check my profile pic,graceland!) and oliveoil lol lol lol !! and here is my first question! what would you lot reccomend,replacing our green house panes with glass or plastic? most of the roof is still intact,its mainly the doors that need some fixing up,thanks in advice and i hope you are all having a great day!with love rach xx

hope youve all had a great day at your lotties,i initiated myself by putting my fork thru my shoe doh!!! can any one please tell me how to insert a photo in a post please?ive found the icon,but all it does is put the letters img in my text? ta love rach ps i use apple mac if that makes a difference  xx

Yes it probably does... I don't use a an applemac..
You need to host your photo's I use Photobucket...
When pic is on photobucket copy the URL ( 2nd down) then open the reply insert image icon, paste url in.. I use control v.......
that's how I do it Rachel...

thank you! im sure its not as complicated as it sounds!! will give it a go.i havnt even heard  of all those varities,you must have been there all day to dig that many up! the chap next to us(who has been there 35 years) gave me a bunch of sweet peas today,how sweet,they smell so lovely! cant wait till next year to be able to return the favour.we are making great headway with clearing the plot,the husband put shelves up in the shed today and we have earmarked a compost site,its all going so well! love r x
