Me for one Emma. My allotment is between Wester Hailes and Baberton - south-west Edinburgh. You can see it in the Google map in my profile.

I'm on the other side of Edinburgh from Grawc - between Leith/Portobello.  On the A4A Google map too.

Hi there

mine is a double plot in Springburn a rather notorious part of Glasgow 'apparently' but strangely enough we never seem to have trouble.

You can see it in my profile.

I cycle through Slateford Green on my way to work and never realised there were plots in there. What are they like?

they are at the bottom end near somerfields, they are sited round the heating and hot water boiler house for the houseing association. they arent bad - my plot is about 20ft x 20ft on a north facing slope. looks well drainging.   my plot hadnt been used in about 5 years to a bit over grown - got that all knocked back and currently getting it ready for next year - skimming of the surface with an azada, got field beans in for green manure and overwinter onions and garlic - rest will go in next year.

Hello, just bumping this back up to the top again.  Must have been asleep when this one was started.

I'm South side of Glasgow, Pollokshields.

I've a smallish south facing garden in South Queensferry. Can get a bit windy, but i'm working on getting a wind break set up.  The soil is quite good, especially now i've put a few loads of manure on the beds.
Been in the house just over a year now, had some nice veg out the garden, still digging the Carrots and Potatoes.

I've been vaguely looking at allotment sites, but from what i can see, the closest ones would be in Fife (Inverkeithing).  The Edinburgh ones would all be a bit too far to get to easily.
That said, if any one knows of any sites near S.Queensferry, please let me know!!!!
