Yes, lots of good pictures there. Also, lots of votes (211 when I voted) cast in total.

Number 2 has so won!!  I see where I go wrong.  Every month I try artistic shots of flowers, but it is the fluffy or fury or cute that wins.  I will have to think again about my photography moments.  Now I am spending time on your forum GW I am picking up lots of photo tips so maybe one day I will have another winner.

I believe a suggestion was made a while ago that there should be different categories eg animals, flowers, scenes, miscellaneous etc. It seems that in most months an animal picture will win. This months 'winner' is very good but in the past there have been some very good pictures of other topics which didn't 'get a look in'.
Would it make it too complicated to have separate categories?

I think that the number of votes must be due to thee-mail sent out by Dan.

I agree, that often a cute fluffy picture wins, but not always - I tend to vote on the artisticness of the photo, rather than the actual content - that's how I take photos, (so number 12 got my vote this month - very artistic)

Number two is appealing to me because not only does it capture a young bird so well but also because of the patience and accuracy of the photographer.  Being a bird watcher and somebody who likes to dabble with the old camera, I really appreciated the outcome of that shot.  So not just about cute and fluffy for me  :)

Some lovely photos this month :) I must admit to voting for No. 2. Mine was No. 9, the butterfly although I cannot take the credit as it was taken by my daughter at Beth Chatto Gardens recently, a beautiful place and well worth a visit. Thanks for the votes :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

If you look back at the vote your selection will be bold.
