Sorry EJ but I'm afraid Colin died recently.
I knew him because he went to the same allotment federation meetings as me in Tameside.
He was a genuinely enthusiastic person and seemed to be involved in lots of community activity as well as allotments. He will be missed.

Oh No! Vee sorry our posts collided...

That is very sad news, Colin was a stalwart advisor and much appreciated gardening friend. I know he was offline for some time being involved in some other community activity. Sure he will be much missed by everyone who knew him. Very sad news indeed....

RIP Colin, love CLx

Oh no!  Oh I am so sorry.  What sad news.  I used to enjoy Colin posting about his dogs.  He was one of the posters who was around way back when, when I first joined.

Safe travels Colin.  Our thoughts are with you.

I am SO SO sorry to read this...I saw the notification of his birthday coming up yesterday and thought of him and wondered if he'd check in.. I liked Colin very much; he was such a lovely genuine and kind person, full of good advice and, of course, tales of his beloved Annie,  and I missed him here on the forum. I knew him, like many others, both here, and on the 'old' Beeb site.

Should Colin's family read this, my sincere condolences to you all.

Kindest regards from his friend,

Alishka

Oh no!  I too was expecting to be wishing him a Happy Birthday, and have missed his posts on this site lately.
So sad now. I feel like we have lost an old friend.
