« on: July 23, 2007, 17:52:52 »
HI Guys,

There is very little i can do expect offer cyber hugs and symphathy.

I thought that i would pull together some links for the various people helping on the ground so if you feel like puling your credit card out you know where to go.

British Red Cross - http://www.redcross.org.uk/news.asp?id=71807&cachefixer=

RNLI - http://www.rnli.org.uk/

Hull Flood Fund - http://www.hullcc.gov.uk/portal/page?_pageid=221,505676&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

If you see any more then its worth adding to this list.

I have posted it on my village forum as well, i know the govenment is giving money but this will go to police, fire services and councils. These groups will not get any of the governments money so i though it would be good to support them.

I would love to load up a car with bottled water and sand bags and see if i can help but i dont think i would be much help especialy if i get stranded and need rescuing!

I even contemplated trying to get some moving trucks to pick up old furniture from unaffected areas and bring them down once the water receded but i though that might be a little 2 early as the houses will needed to dry out first and that can take 6 months!
