Hi not a total newbie,
My allotment is in the sleepy village of Dane End, Herts. Small site only 10 tiny plots, we could do with twice the size but we love it. Everyone is so friendly.
on my way home from work i drive on the A10 and there are some lovely plots next to brookfield farm in Cheshunt. does anyone on the forum work those, they do look well tended.

welcome to the boards, (if not already happened)
I got some friends down your neck-of-the-woods, (braughin, gt hormead, rickling, buntingford) and it's a very nice part of the country (apart from aircraft noise)!!
