Last night we sat with patio doors open and the smell of the jasmine wafting in. Sublime.

I used to walk to work past a bed of pinks that ran for at least 15' along the top of a wall at about chest height, the smell of those in full flower was just divine.
top marks to whoever designed it, too!
we also had an inherited philadelphus/mock orange growing beside our front door at our previous house and that smelled heavenly. I know it's a bit strong and sweet for some people but I loved it.

Sweet peas are delish aren't they? Mine are lovely too, they are competing with the jasmine! I also have a lemon verbena (melissa) which just bowls you over with full on lemon. The roses are also going for it. I just wish we'd had a bit more sun to encourage them on a bit.

Sweetpeas, lilac (reminds me of my childhood), and next door's Cornus, which smells of bubble gum. Oh, and winter box.

Yes, freesias!
I just couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called in order to respond to the post!! I have inherited my work colleagues baby-head. I'm not pregnant, she is, but I seem to be having all of the symptoms that she should be getting, including being incredibly forgetful at the moment! ::)

I love the scent of all those flowers mentioned with pinks just slightly in the lead on my list. Other perfumes that I love are the Azalea 'Rhododendron luteum', mahonia, Nicotiana (tobacco plant), irises and wallflowers.

Well I like all of the above plus the bowl of Hycanths every winter.
But, one of my favourite smells is freshly cut grass, now I would like to bottle that one.

Sweet peas, honeysuckle, lavender and, not strictly a flower, but the scent of a camomile lawn. Lovely. :)
Agree with Carol about freshly cut grass too ... gorgeous, evocative smell.

Freesias (my all time favourite flower), Sweet Peas, Citrus blossom, Brugmansia at night, and the scent that tells me summer's on it's way - the first flower of Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile'. :-* Wonderful!
