urgent greenhouse questions
« on: July 22, 2007, 08:54:08 »
HI, Our electric is about to be turned off for the day.
Is the glass on the greenhouse roof held on by Z clips and W clips, or just W clips?
I ask as we are trying to fit the glass, but the overlap is too great for the Z clips to fit!
Thanks very much,
Sue
(hoping I hear something before the power goes!!)

Still in the plot   36 Leeks, 1x rows parsnips, 2x  rows chard, psb, broccoli, 5 rows garlic, 1 row swede, lots of onions - started in rows, but the birds had them and now they are random!!

The W clips hold it in place the Z clips at the overlap reduce slippage down the frame...
Hope I beat the power cut!

Thanks Saddad, its just that we cant fit the Z clips in!
The sides have gone in ok, but the roof seems to narrow at the apex and the z clips are not large enpugh for the overlap!
Power was supposed to go 1 min ago!!

If you have some tin snips you can make your own... from a tin can... not a corrugated one! cut intostrips and fold!

I must confess to bending the z clips open to fit thicker bit of glass when I glazed the inherited greenhouse on my plot...... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
