A wee harvest
« on: August 05, 2007, 10:56:26 »
 ;D

Having just come back from a weeks holiday in the Lake District, I harvested quite a few good looking veg.

Carrots, courgettes and potatoes.

Carrots have no sign of carrot fly as they were under enviromesh but a bit stumpy. Think this was due to my heavy clay soil.

Courgettes were massive!!! and I still have loads to pick.

Potatoes were very large, but I have lost half of the crop to slugs!!!  :(   :(   This little lot was from three plants.

Would have shown you some of the Greensage peas, but they didn't make it back to the house (only 3 meters away) as my wife and I ate around 10 pods.  They have to be the best thing I have grown yet!!!   outstanding flavour and loads of pods.

Also picked some tayberries & raspberries.    ;)

Tomatoes look much better, but still very far behind compaired to Tims ;)
