My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in. Bill Shankly.

There are quite a few tall vatieties and several places to buy the seed. I have just finished harvesting my earlies which were a var called Pilot. For maincrop I use Alderman but there are others.
Have a look at the Real Seed co website
http://www.realseeds.co.uk/
and The Organic Gardening catalogue
http://www.organiccatalog.com/
although the latter seems to have gone down hill a bit in my opinion.

Alderman is one of the best-I prefer Hurst Green Shaft but that`s not a classic `tall pea`
