ahhh well done emmy - so pleased for you. My enhanced crb took 10 weeks! But they let me start before it came through, just wasn't allowed with the kids on my own until it arrived.

Doop de doop.
Hi all.
Olive, I think it will be the same for me. I have one already for working in the school on my college placement so hoping that'll be enough for now. I have been buzzing all weekend. It feels exciting but scary to be going back to work.
I've been working to my own time for so long, if i wanted to do the garden or nip to the plot i could. At the same time I've always wanted to go back to work and that's what I've been studying for so I am looking forward to it. Plus...money for shoes and tools.  ;D ;D ;D
Sajaself...how is your new job going?   :)

Wooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooo  ;D  Well done you, so chuffed for ya  ;)

I process loads of CRB checks on our potential recruits at work and I've had enhanced ones coming back in as little as a couple of weeks.  Just make sure you supply the correct ID docs straight away & that your form is completed correctly to avoid any delays.

Oh, and good luck for when you start  ;D  ;D  ;D

Well done em,I work for the county council and my CBR took about 2weeks. I think, but I was allowed to start as I already had one from previous employer.
I had to go through it again mainly for policy and procedure.
Well done I bet you are very pleased with yourself   ;D

Well done!!!

Good on you!

You'll be joining all of us 'Post 5pm allotmenteers'.

I'm loving going down to the plot after a whole day being cooped up in an office.

Well done again

Hi Plotsurfer...is just brilliant at the lottie in the early evening isn't it? Empties your brain of all the crap from the day. Bit like surfing!  ;D
We go a lot late in the day as girls have their flowers and stuff to water and all the raspberries to pick and OH works till about 5.30-6pm. i will miss my mornings there on my own though.  :( I think i will still try to keep at least one morning a week free.  ;D

Good idea!

I don't think there's a time of the day that isn't good on the allotment!

Apart from perhaps when it's raining.

The best thing is going there after work and then picking something to eat for dinner...

Perfect.

I think surfing and allotmenteering have a lot in common (kind of)!

It doesn't have much in common with rugby though. Apart from the mud.

I agree although I didn't end up petrified and sobbing on my first go at the lottie . Much easier to get the hang of.
 ;D ;D ;D

Well I nearly cried when pigeons ate my first ever cabbage plants!!

See, the similarities between the two are quite un-nerving!

Hope you stuck with the surfing - it's a great sport.
