winter seed swap parcel via Natasha
« on: June 16, 2007, 12:45:58 »
As you all know Jeannine closed her topic, but I think I have enough seeds to start this swap. So if people still want to take part, please let me know and PM me your postal details, so that we can start as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Natasha

I will come in too, perhaps early on as I do have quite a lot I can add in as a supplement, just not a lot on it's own. XX Jeannine

Gosh, guys,
so many replies,
you are all in!
I've got a couple of emails asking me what to put in the parcel. So I think it will be nice for all of us to decide what the swap is about.

My suggestion is:

1 Traditional stuff, seeds which you can start from now on, for harvesting later this year or during cold months. Of cause most of the seeds in the parcel will be traditional, but they won't have to be.

2 Autumn sowing stuff (if the seedlings are strong enough to overwinter in a cold frame without hitting for an earlier start next year, may be they should be in), it might be herbs, veg, berries or flowers beneficial for our lotties.
I started some flowers, herbs and berries last year in October at home and moved them into my unheated green house as soon as they germinated, where they overwintered perfectly well, should such seeds be in?

I'm looking forward to your input.
Thank you.

I'm still waiting for PMs from a couple of people who wanted to take part in Jeannine's winter swap,  they might be away today or busy and it will be unfair if we start without giving them a chance to participate, so I plan to send the parcel to the first player on Tuesday.

Hi Flo,
No, just 5 of us! And we are all veggie, so eat lots of veg!!! ;D
Our plot is tiny, thats all we have room for, and all crammed in! Have learned lots of lessons, but can make less mistakes next year! (and our rows are only 3m wide!!)

Ready, Steady, Go!
It's on it's way to one of you and I appologize if something is not up to standards, it is my first time playing the game, I know I should have tried it as a player first,  but can't stop compulsive seeds-related behavior  :P
