manky golden orfe
« on: June 12, 2007, 15:30:12 »
Hi, two of my golden orfe got large brown mouldy bits on both sides of their abdomen.  it looked awful like their insides were hanging out.  Went brown and scabby but to my complete surprise they are gradually healing over with new scales - lighter than before and they are left with deep indents, but i can't believe they have got better.  i was ready to catch them and put them out of their misery.  Which i would have done if i could have caught them.  Does anyone know what this could have been.

Alit :)

We used to keep orf and every Springtime they used to get algae growing on their backs. This dissapears as the summer moves in. I think it's because they mooch around a lot in the Spring
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
