Our new wildlife area/pond has newts.... I was watching the mayflies and waterboatmen etcetera when I spotted it... and then about half a dozen others!!!

Ooh lucky you. Is it something you've built yourself? I remember as a kid having one in a jamjar, but not for long mi mam dint like it.

Eight in our pond-funny how the grass snakes wiped out all the frogs but left the newts alone

It is a large pond built by the society as an ameinity(?) more of a white elephant at the moment..
