I haven't used that company before. However if you want some pond cover plants, (can't for the life of me think what they are called) I have some you can have. They have a small lily like leaf and can grow quite profusely, but are easy to remove and compost.

We haven't used that one D, but the old boy found this site through one of the many aquarium sites he visits.

I wonder if ordering a collection of plants works out cheaper....?

Mrs P, just wondering how your plants from Wetland are getting on.  Are you pleased?  My pond is being built at the moment and will just need to be filled ;).

Sorry Jill,
not been on the computer much with the weather being so fab! You can tell it is raining today as I am playing catch up! ;D
The plants all look as if they are doing fine, my only comment on them was they they were very small,  but I did order in the winter!! :-\

Morrisons supermarket has been having some good deals on water plants, and the other one I have used is

http://www.bromfieldaquatics.co.uk/store/erol.html#1x0&&

They have been good too.

If my stuff was further on I would send you some stuff, you watch in a few months time I will be chucking excess weed etc on my compost! ::)

Good Luck with the pond! ;D

Emma.Hi!! Thanks to you i ordered a small quantity of the selection of oxygenating pond weed.I needed to replenish the tired and leggy ones.You take a chance when you order "blind" but I am SO glad i did!! They not only sent exactly what i would have chosen myself,but in beautiful condition and plentiful at a reasonable price.Had a great time in the rain potting them up yesterday.So thanks.I recommend them to anyone.

Your ponds looks great by the way,how is it coming along now?

Oh goodie, another recommendation.  Thanks EJ and Margaret.  Our pond liner goes in on Monday.   Just wondering, and this is probably a question for Margaret, how long to leave the tap water filled pond before planting up.  The gardener chappie building it said three weeks or so to get rid of the chlorine etc.

Hi Jill.You could leave it that long but i bet you don't !! The urge to get going is just too great!!If you had done it this week it would be full of rain water by now!! You could use a dechlorinator to speed up the process but quite honestly,the chlorine will not affect the plants like it would fish or amphibians.Try telling any frogs or newts lurking around and waiting to jump in!!They won't care!!
