Mmmm. What an armload of lily-of-the-valley you must have! I swear I can smell them from here.  :)

Regardless of historical/ geographical accuracy, they're the ones that I always think of when I hear that line about the 'lilies of the field'...
that 'not Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these'.

Picked mine this year for the first time - always thought I should look not cut but the perfume indoors was wonderful - hope they will come again next year :-[

I've got very shy ones - only grow under the fence and dare not move them - they've appeared for the last 10 years!

If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.
