To be honest, people seem to have a lot more money to spare now than when he came in. Jobs are not a problem, a lot of people are buying houses to rent out never mind defaulting payment on the ones they live in. I think history will show blair was very good for the UK.
He was just not very good for the rest of the world.
If it wasn't for Iraq/Afghanistan I would be mourning his passing.

Excellent summary DadnDom, and the reason that the next GE will be so difficult. And as much as I wish it wasn't the case, maybe a psycho American oil family let loose would've been even worse if we hadn't been there to "restrain" them... worse than suicide bombers on our own turf? I don't think we'll ever know for sure.
