Growing Asparagus from seed
« on: April 25, 2007, 16:35:51 »
Hi everyone, Right i got some aspargus seeds today and on the instructions it says that the seeds need soaking in warm water for 48 hours. Does any one know if the water needs to be kept warm constantly? or can it be let to cool? also How much water are we talking about for them to soak in should they be covered completley?

Cheers
Joe

wow i have the same seed and did not know i had to soak!!

I presume that you need to start them off in water that is cooler than hand hot, and popped on a window still for 48 hours. You dont need to keep the water warm its just the innial heat to wake the seed up.
