Coal Tits

The pair of blue tits that nested last year in our garden  have not returned this year :(
but we have a pair of coal tits this time round with a nest in a differen t part of the garden this year, by the sounds of it they have already hatched too :)

How lovely.   :D   We don't get coal tits where I live now and I miss them.  When I used to live in Kent we would drive to Holly Hill and the coal tits used to eat food which we placed on the bonnet of the car.  They also came to feeders in my parents garden........that was over 40 years ago.

I like the coal tits too and have only seen one this week, probably passing through.  They are busy in the autumn collecting all the food they can take and hiding it somehwere for the Winter months.  Busy little birds.  Great news if you have them nesting.   ;) ;) ;)
