good news in somerset
« on: March 27, 2007, 05:18:14 »
:D Not sure if Bunjies has let you know yet, as I haven't been able to get on for a while BUT we have finally managed to secure our piece of land for community allotments.
Big 'WOO HAHS' all around as we are so fantastic  (sorry to any of you who think I am blowing my trumpets and a full brass section too loudly).

We are currently getting the Deeds to the Land changed after the gruelling task of sitting through 3 parish council meetings and doing quite a bit of hard work since late in 2006.

Looks like we may be on during the summer.

We have also called our group the 'Merry Tillers at Weston Town' pretty groovey eh?

So if you are passing through Evercreech anytime please note that the incredibly large area to the end of the community recreation ground is all ours, (all 36 plus allotment holders to be).

So Thanks for your support and advice (Cambourne and Manicscoucers)  ;Dit counted.

From a VERY smug missie

Well done! Great to hear of some new allotments for a change, rather than ones that are disappearing!
