Money Tree

I have a Crassula arborescens (money tree), buts its branches are getting long and droppy.

How do you make it branch ? If I just chop into old growth will it re-sprout or die ?

I lop bits of off mine when they start to get scruffy and it branches nicely.  Mine does seem to droop a lot which is a pain, except the bits that droop often root and grow away giving me free plants.

I wouldn't cut it hard back, give it a light tidy and see how it goes.  I have seen them trained to look like Bonsai trees and they look great so I am sure it would be fine.

Thanks, I have taken your advise.

My plant had 9 'branches', so I chopped half (4) of them.

How long will it be before I see new shoots ? Also, with the new cuttings, if I leave them to callus over and pot them up, how long before they root and show signs of life - months or years ?
