Black weed control fabric
« on: April 23, 2007, 22:16:43 »
Very expensive! Local garden centre 95p per metre (1 metre wide)

BUT........................................ I was very lucky. I mentioned to my neighbour (a Civil Engineering Contractor) that I would like to buy some if he had any offcuts. A day or two later he turned up with two part rolls (about 1 metre wide)  which were off cuts from 4 metre wide rolls. There were about 100 metres altogether and he wouldn't take anything for them. I hope to be able to supply his family with runner beans and tomatoes in the Summer.

wow you did well !!

As your near me if you need some wood chips to hold the membrane down let me know and you can come up and get enough to fill the car.

I used membrane and the pegs in our part of the world are just not good enough with the wind.
