Took some out - put some in -  so it's quite a sizeable parcel moving on (tomorrow am, hopefully) to a gal with a very appropriate surname  ;D

OO the quote doesnt mean much to me (being a bloke)- whats your surname?

Whoah, slow down there OliveOil - I only got it yesterday pm  ;D - and it went back in the post first class this morning, so hopefully it should be with you tomorrow/ day after.

I had great fun with it - hope you do too (mind you, OH's face when he came in to a kitchen table covered in seeds, rather than dinner, suggests too many pass-the-parcels might spell the end of marriage for me too  ;D ;D)

HSL = Heritage Seed Library  a part of the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA) now calling itself 'Garden Organic'

The HSL saves veggie seeds which are under threat e.g. being withdrawn from commercial catalogues, to protect the genetic varieties for the future.

I have been a member for some years, money well spent and, in my view, a good cause. As a member of HSL you are entitled to 6 packets of seed free each year, but if there is something in particular you are looking for they are very helpful in locating a source. They are also very helpful in answering growing/cropping questions .... in a mini RHS sort of way
