spotty tomato plants
« on: April 11, 2007, 18:55:04 »
Hi I wonder if anyone can help, a friend of mine has asked me what these spots on her tomato plants are and I of course immediately thought I'd ask you lot!

she says

"From the topside of the leaf, it looks thinner in spots. From the bottom side of the leaf it looks raised.

Any ideas what it might be? It is on 3 of about 12 at the moment. I've never grown anything before so have absolutely no idea."

thanks in advance for any help or ideas

Jo

Basically no... I was expecting scorch but that doesn't great a raised area on the back... is that some discolouring towards the leaf tip?

It seem to be a strange looking tomato leaf to me (lack of serrations) it is more potato leafed, what variety is it?

As far as the problem is concerned I am not sure what it is so when in doubt I would remove the affected leaves.
