Evening All ......
send me some comforting words, please ;)
I grow Chrysanths only for Garden display and cutting for the house, nothing serious like exhibiting. Almost all my plants are 'Sprays' with a few 'Incurves', they spend Summer/Autumn in the flower borders and Winter/Spring the stools are in shallow boxes (ex Tomato) in a cold Greenhouse.
Took my first Chrysanth cuttings 14 March, they are in a propagator with gentle bottom heat, plastic cover in place unless air temperature rises above 25 C, then cover removed.
Have 48 cuttings 'on the go' they look wonderful and healthy but no sign of 'rootlets', I am sure last year that cuttings had rooted within 3 weeks.
As a father of seedlings and baby plants I am a worrier .... see earlier panic postings when Tomato seeds did not germinate (but all came up fine a week/10 days later (after the panic) ;D
Sweet Dreams
