Topic: Lawn Mowers. New Rules

Hi, has anyone else just heard on Gardeners Question Time the new rules for lawn mowers.  they are saying that they will come under the same rules as a car as regards to what they throw out.  will this also include rotovate rs and strimmers. Someone please tell me that I have fallen for an April Fools joke.

Hey, didn't think of that!.....thought you could only 'do' jokes before mid-day?....there again, I remember seeing the spaghetti tree on an early evening programme that year....carbon emissions, MOT-type thingies for petrol & diesel engines....and airbags and seatbelts for safety?

I was giggling away as I drove, listening to this. The trouble is, with such a big-brother type state these days, I wouldn't be surprised if someone in government thought it was a good idea.
