Woolworths fruit bushes
« on: March 27, 2007, 20:32:06 »
I was in woolies today & noticed 5 of their £1.99 fruit bushes & one of the £3.99 grape vines had a bit of white fluffy mould on them. I pointed it out to the nearest assistant a couple of minutes later they were ready to chuck them so I offered to take them off their hands if they reduced the price a bit, they went straight down to £0.50 each I thought I would try my luck a bit further & mumbled something about getting them home on the bus & finding the space to plant them all & they said £1.50 for the lot so I walked out with 3 thornfree blackberries 1 tayberry 1 loganberry & 1 muscadet grapevine all for just £1.50 saving a total of £12.44.
They are now soaking & will be planted tomorrow the mould has been wiped off & shouldn't cause any problems once they are outside.
It is worth keeping an eye out for badly stored plants you may save yourself a fair bit of money.

Never have the guts to do stuff like that, but well done! ;D
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.
