Oh well, our grass carp don`t look like that! Thats what they were called when we bought them for the purpose of eating algae? They grew very big! four of them but can`t get piccies cos can`t see them cos they were lazy!
They are black and bullet nosed? Not caught up with biggest Koi yet. Always had blanket weed problem but not this year only algae? Got BIG filter and pump and pond about 1800gals. tried shading chemicals over the years, nothing seems to work...
Plants just get eaten in no time by Koi. Big pretty lily £10 gone in an hour! massive leafed floating lillies in pots with 5ft stems, MMMMMmmm they were nice too!

Oh yes, tried the snails years back, mmmmm they were nice too, the ones that were not eaten ran away from the scary Koi, barley straw? they didn`t eat it but didn`t work anyway. Thought about the expense of a sand filter??? Anyone tried them?
