Toms in Growbags
« on: March 18, 2007, 01:51:40 »
In the normal size grow bag how many tomato plants are ideal? We planted 3 per bag last year but wondering if only 2 will increase the yield... Going to get some of those growbag pots this year to stick on top first...

We had a bumper crop last year with 3 but wondering if 2 would make it a super bumper crop or not. Advice apprecaited..

I'm afraid I don't count the harvest. And I know that if you're pushed for room or cash, 3 in a bed works OK.

Although I do believe that the plants are easier to tend & are healthier at 2/bag., I doubt that you would see a 30% increase in production.

Tha add-ons are fine - so long as you follow the feed/water regime.
