Richard, heartfelt condolences. I was very touched by your post, and the wonderful picture. It will be SO hard, but you having shared so much with your Dad means he will always be with you. It takes time, but after a while the memories of sharing and laughter will be force away the loss and sadness. Good luck to you, CLx

deepest sympathies Richard i lost my mother in December after a terrible time with leukemia and her partner bless was under some instructions /requests to do various veg which he has done  even though shes not ever going to taste them again makes you kinda swallow hard i think she thought she had more time than she had but sadly that wasnt the case

Richard you hold on to those memories of your father be glad that you had some one so special because you were lucky to have  a father who shared and cared and although hes not here in body I'm sure hes going to be here in spirt to help you taste those  spuds ;)

Richard I think my Dad comes to my plot with me every time I go, I swear he is always behind me telling me to pull up weeds, sow this and that, and yes I often have a chat with him even 14 years on!
We will carry them in our hearts forever, and their knowledge continues within us!
