At the service a friend told us how Sarah liked to potter in one`s garden-humming a tune and content-been there, seen and heard it.

She will be in my garden forever

I'm so glad some of us were there [poor you Jeannine it's horrid being lost like that - happens to me all the time  :)].  I  have also got PMs from her saved & will keep them for ever too.  I planted some country pumpkins she sent me today & thought of her again & I shall look up her posts & save them. Sarah will be living on in many, many gardens & plots for a very long time.

Service sounded lovely... I wish I had been there but work was so manic (worse than usual)... I did stop at 11am and think about Supersprout and then on with the mayhem.

I haven't had a photograph of the tribute from the florist yet and apparently I sent the wording for the card too late - typical.  I really hope everything was ok on the tribute side.

There was a card with some lovely words with it, OO- don't know whether they were yours.

As I read this ... I find I am smiling !  I'm so very glad many of you made it to York today.

And I am equally sad not to have been able to be there with you too.

Many of you will know I am also a member of other forums ... and we too sent cards and flowers.

Looking forward ...  I think the greatest tribute that ANY of us can make to Sarah ... is to put into practice all the advice and expertise she so very generously gave so freely.

If we continue to practice what she taught us, that knowledge will not just be cherished ... it will grow and flourish ... as she would have wished it.

Peace Be With You Sarah - Flo x

I was very sad not to be able to attend the service - but not quite up to any kind of gathering yet! So yesterday I spent the day mulching - that was my personal tribute - glad to hear that things went well, and the floral tribute sounds wonderful - well done OO

Just to say that was nice to be able to meet people at York, both from here and of course Sarah's family and friends.
Will and the family did a lovely job with the refreshments.
It was a very fitting occasion, and they did Sarah proud.

.if anyone wants a selection to grow and is interested in the 'Sprouty Seed Squash Club' I think she'd like the idea.

Received today, many thanks Trixiebelle. Will have a fish around for details and instructions as I've only grown butternuts before, and I aim to treat them royaly  ;)

looking forward to Ahmeds Own ;D. Hope to find treasures inside.

Received mine too Trixiebelle !  Can't wait to get this s(h)ow on the road.

The names did make me laugh.  I shall be researching thoroughly as I've never grown squash before, but if Ahmed can do it, then so can I !!

Thanks so much.

Yes he does Honeybee  ;D I told him today and he was very 'pleased' in his own little way! I know this because he brought me a bunch of daffs from his garden.

And to all of you with Ahmed's seeds - he said I should have named them 'Ahmed's Lazy Pumpkins' because they don't like to search for water - you have to water them well apparently.

Happy growing X

Just as a tail piece to this I am meeting Will on Sunday-one last look at the `Sprout plots`and I might lift a plant or two to put in my garden.

I`m sure I will speak for many when I shake Will`s hand before he moves onto his future and remind him again(as if he needs to know) that his mum was a very special person.

Cleo - that sounds great - I can only pass on my best wishes to Will, I hope he has a great life.

Still think about Sarah every day, and can't imagine how Will must feel.

I only knew Sarah for just over a year-I knew her as a friend, cook and gardener. She hinted of other skills including her love for networking-I only found out of her love for playing `Scrabble` too late-now that would have been fun?

But it`s her love of networking that makes me think-if we could try and meet each other now and again-not under the sad circumstances some of us met-but with `jeans and wellies`and a smile in our hearts-that would be a fitting tribute?
