Part of the trouble is that I don't think I do want a strawberry-tree (let alone six or seven, if they all grow!) Particularly since it's the full-sized shrub, not a domesticated mini-version. The seeds were given by a well-meaning friend. They were tipped into my rather unwilling hand from a packet bought from the Eden Project, so I don't know if they've been ready-processed by birds or other means. ;)
Since they're living seeds, I feel kind of duty-bound to give them a chance of life... but perhaps in a pot in a far corner of the garden so I don't think about them too often. If they grow, I can offer them to my borough lottie association for one of their plant sales.
BTW, Ceratonia, I love the translation of "unedo"!
