How about trying the Guinness Marmite for Lent - it apparently has no alcohol content so will be OK if you are giving up alcohol for Lent as well!

Oh no, why give up marmite? (Vegemite just isn't the same btw :P )  Don't tell me they've stopped selling it in jars? I hate all these stupid squeezy tubs - i'm not a moron, i can manage to use a knife safely to get my marmite out of a bl**dy jar!!!  >:(

Re the original question  :-X I'm giving up giving things up, life's too short  ;)  ;D

No no no! Marmite best food on the planet  :D Vegemite is yuk, :P  with you there Kitten. Have huge debates with Aussie mate on merits of both, but stand firm that Marmite is the best.
Am giving up not eating cadburys creme eggs for lent. Started buying them when shops started selling easter stuff in jan. Then gave them up. Now putting myself through the whole ordeal again. Am such a saint.  ;)
