« on: February 20, 2007, 14:44:57 »
Dear All

Have you ever been to a stall at a Farmers Market and thought “I could do that!” Have you been told by friends your produce should be sold to the public? Would you like to  experience life at a food market to see if you can cut it............................

If so Optomen Television wants to hear from you.

We make some of the country best food shows including The Naked Chef, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, The F Word and Great British Menu and as part of our new UKTV magazine show we are running a competition called “Market Apprentice”  where  anyone who makes something fabulous will be given  a stall for the day at one of London’s top farmers markets  to sell their pride and joy alongside some of the best small producers in the UK.
Over the series we will present viewers with expert and entertaining new takes on how and where to find, enjoy and cook the very best of British food.  Presenting the show will be cookery writer and home cook Tana Ramsey (author of Tana Ramsay’s Family Kitchen), Award winning food writers Tom Parker-Bowles (author of The Year of Eating Dangerously and food writer for the Mail on Sunday and Tatler) and Mathew Fort (Guardian food writer)

We’re currently looking for any would be food producers who think that they can cut it at a Farmers Market, and are willing to give it a go. Whether you’re confident that your food is as tasty as the best, or just curious to know how you’d get on, Market Kitchen wants to hear from you.

If this is you, or if you know anyone like this, then please get in touch.
