Milk to attract slugs?
« on: February 24, 2007, 08:07:12 »
Hi - I have read that as well as beer in slug traps, grape juice & milk work too.  Has anyone tried this?  Any thoughts?

Milk most certainly does attract slugs. I used to be a milkman and the empty bottles would be full slugs. That was grim!

Worm milkshake anybody?  :o

The milk may attract rats, mind you, they probably like a pint of beer too.  ::)

I've just put some slightly off milk in a cut off bottle in the poly to try it, someone on here says wait until it's SOLID before throwing it in the compost heap..worth a try !!  ;D
