pics of allotments
« on: February 06, 2007, 13:44:24 »
here are the pics of Bunjy's and our plots yesterday. You can just about see the muck strewn beds on our Tracy's plot but I think you will admit that the pen for the kids is really neat. Tou can see that Tony has built a compost bin for me We planted some autumn raspberries that some kind hearted soul said we could have if we dug them ourselves. No sooner the word than the deed. I do hope thes pics get on here ok
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

As you can see on the pic of our plot where Tony is digging there is no manure. I will just spread a general purpose feed over that section. We are going to split the plot into 3 for ease of rotation. the beans will probably stay in the same place so their patch will make one division. The sweet pea row will make the other. We will have to grow plenty of flowers as there aren't many houses surrounding the alottment site just 4 blocks of flats. It's great to have a new plot to work on. We had the plot rotovated so most of the muck is on the top to suppress any weeds.
