Topic: Things are coming right along

Before long I'll have to put the nets over the strawberries, they almost outgrew their cages (chicken wire tents because rabbits seem to like to nibble the juicy hearts out of strawberry plants).
The blueberry bushes in the back ground have been fed and given a new blanket to stay nice and moist.
The first two melons, I hope to do four, are in the poly tunnel. It's probably a bit early but I got impatient and I do have spares anyway.




Peppers (with cutworm collar) and tomatoes (7) are in the ground as of today.

Hi ina,yesterday i was in the neighbourhood.I had to play soccer in your town.Nice pics do you have such a trouble with the wildlife overthere,i am fighting a private war with some crows.I have also put my tomatoes in the soil,little more than normal.I have stopped at 50 different types of tomatoes.Now i am bizzy with the melons,zucchinies,squashes,gherkins and cucumbers.Seeing your pics remind me to mulch my blackberries as well,so ina it keep us well occupied
