Christmas flowers and tomatoes
« on: December 26, 2006, 19:27:02 »
I visited my elderly neighbour Christmas Eve, he is 95 yrs old and still fit and looks after his garden with a little help.  He was a Market Gardener down in Kent before he retired.  He moved up my way late 1989.  This is what he has in his conservatory.  Every year at this time he has something ready for eating for Christmas,  this years it is tomatoes.  He always has flowers in bloom whenever I visit and this Christmas it was Petunias and Cyclamen.   I took pics this time....

So heres to John and may he have many more years growing his flowers and veg.

That's amazing!  did you pick up any tips on how to keep tomatoes going till Christmas - are they long season ones?  Also how to get the cyclamens looking so good.
