calabash gourd

the catalogue says bottle shaped fruit which when dried can be filled with water or wine or used as a vase.

ideal for all my hobbies ;D

has anyone grown one and used it as a vase, etc,I would like to find out before I splash out on the seed ::)

I have a Reader's Digest book with loads of pics of same /shades, including instructions for carving, beadwork etc. ::) It's imaginatively called Pumpkins and Squashes I think ;D
