Our little visitor
« on: December 02, 2006, 17:16:29 »
Well we have been up at the plot all day today and we are really knackered. This new plot is so much different from our other one. They are only about 5 miles apart. The one in Sutton is right on the edge of the countryside and we are lucky if we get the odd sparrow. This one is surrounded by tall flats and is right in the middle of the town. So far have seen 3 thrushes (havent seen any for ages apart from in sutton park and then only the odd one) Long tailed tits, wagtails. and this little visitor was ther to greet us this morning. Only stayed to have its pic taken and then didn't see it again. btw the plot isn't ours lol. It's a run down one next door.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Ooooh, what a beaut! I'm sure more experienced gardeners might think he's a pest for various reasons but i think he's lovely! (I'll come back to you next year tho' when i've been trying to grow veggies for a year lol)  ;)
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

I know what you mean. I will just have to protect the important stuff with sticks and netting.

I think they are beautiful, even though they bury chickens, eggs and bread out of compost bins on my plot ;D/shades x
