It's an ill wind.......
« on: November 23, 2006, 08:31:31 »
I was given this hanging basket in early October and, as it was blowing a gale, I didn't hang it outside but gave it a 'temporary' home in the lean-to. Opening the door into the lean-to each morning is an absolute joy as the white cyclamen have a glorious perfume - ( a cross between fresh lemons and lily of the valley!) - which fills the room! I'm sure I would never have had the pleasure of that scent if it hadn't been blowing and I'd hung the basket outside! (It looks happy there, I think, so there it will stay!)

(N.B. IF I'm successful this will be the first time I have managed to post a
picture and I will be well chuffed!)

Ah, well! If at first you don't succeed..... :'(

(Guess that's what happens when you try to photograph a smell!!!
Clever son coming round this evening and if he can't sort me out no one can!)

nearly there Grandma - you don't have the complete code at either end of the photo details. [ img ] at the start of your image and then [ /img ] at the end. (leave out the spaces - if I didn't put them in it wouldn't show as it was expecting an image!)

Thanks, Lorna. I did have an awful lot of help! Maybe it will be easier next time.

Thank you all for your nice comments - I just wish you could all smell those cyclamen!!! So scrumptious! Warm, sunny Worthing has a weather warning out for tonight/tomorrow  - 'storm-force winds with damaging gusts and heavy rain! - (deep joy!) I've just been in the garden to take a few pics of what colour there is left before it all gets blown away! I'm just wondering if anything I was taught yesterday evening has sunk in enough for me to post a pic or two! Will try - but please don't hold your breath!

Yippeeeeeeeeeeee you did it. It's great when us older ones get to fathom out these contraptions. i didn't know a single thing about computers when we got ours. Only know enough now to get by. Trial and error in my case. I do find though that now Ive got the additional options on the site it has proved to be much easier once I've cropped the pics to the allowed size. It's well worth the tenner.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Thanks, Shirl and Tony. I did wonder why my postings looked so untidy. Something new to learn, eh?
