« on: November 16, 2006, 13:58:54 »
Hello People,

I have been reading my vegetable book and it says that you can plant carrot seedlings in autumn to late winter, for a spring supply.the seeds must be sown under cloches,in a frame or int greenhouse.
has anyone on this site ever done this and would you advise me to do so,I never new that you could grow carrots in autumn - winter? but i'am only a learner.
please let me know what you think.

Thanks again,Graham ;)

I haven't sown any yet as I have not got round to it yet, but am planning on doing some in the soil side of the greenhouse.... nothing to loose but the price of a pack of seeds....

we did, last year, in the poly, unfortunately, although they grew well enough, it was new ground and full of eelworm, I think, they were full of holes, :(
