I've just filled my basket with seven packets for £6 (with postage) - five were the 50p ones, two slightly more expensive, but still cheap.

Haven't put in my credit card details just yet...

there, that's done...

(Mr Aqui did, afterall, say that there weren't enough plants in the garden!)
gone to pot :D

I've just had a look - luckily for me, I am only interested in vegetables, though I already have a few token flowers sown - just checked date with my moon calendar thingy - good to plant/sow flowers this afternoon around moonset GMT 15.30.

Here goes Mimi,

Let's see if it cures me huh?  :-\

I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS

It's not working yet - I've just spotted some more I want.  ::)

I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS

This is boring....much more fun looking at all those lovely cheap seeds!  ;) ;)

I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS
I MUST NOT BUY ANY MORE SEEDS!!!!!!!!!

Nope....I give up.

I is bad to the bone I is.  :'( :'(

Sorry Aqui but I simply don't  have the willpower to resist these offers and then not pass them on. See you couldn't resist buying though.  :)

Multiveg, don't worry we'll convert you yet! :D

I'm a fully fledged addict and proud of it.  ;D ;D ;D

I have plenty of willpower. But it doesn't work when seeds cost 50p and then I see: Quaking grass (I've been after that for ages); Blue Irises (perfect for the pond); blue Geraniums (geraniums are not my favourites - but I do like the wild ones); Hollyhocks (lovely); wild yellow geum (again - perfect for the pond edges). And all at 50p each, you've just gotta haven't you. Afterall - if they don't grow, it's only 50p and if they do grow - see what fantastic plants you get so so cheaply!

And then they have Loosestrife (ok it's not 50p but I have so far failed to find it anywhere) and marsh marigold (necessary for the pond).

Notice - not an aquilegia in sight (they didn't have enough pictures for me to choose!)

(I'm very good at justifying my spending!)

So what did you buy?
gone to pot :D

AAHHH Aqui - you've got it bad!

My list is still in the making!
At this rate I'll be spending around £50  :o
I'm now trying to cut the list DOWN - very hard to do as I want soooooo much!!

Eileen.

P.S.
Click on 'home' then click on 'main section' then on 'quick list' and look under A - you'll never guess what's there!?!  :P

SORRY  ;D :D ;D

I've come to the conclusion that guilt is a female thing! Why do we feel guilty about buying more and more seeds when in fact we are:

1. Providing employment for nurseries, printers, shops etc
2. Helping the environment
3. Providing benefits for countless bees and other insects
4. Beautifying the world
5. Saving ourselves from tranquilisers, alcohol(well maybe   just one then).
Oh, and countless other benefits I'm sure - banish the guilt just enjoy!

It's a great site by the way  :D

OMG Eileen - now you've got me going ::)  Just spent the last half an hour browsing the site.  Managed to restrict myself to 10 packets of seeds.  Now all I've got to do is find space for all these extra plants ;D ;) :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

well any way i managed to resist temptation even when i found seeds for a white hardy gerainium (which is my holy grail since i love geraniums, but only have pinks or purples in the garden).

Well I've finally made out my own list of seeds.  :-[

Total £25.OO but I hasten to add they're not all for me. My neighbour ,eldest son and my sister are having some too and we're sharing the P&P as well as the cost.

(I won't tell you how many I'm keeping for myself but just let's say ....there goes some more of the lawn.)  ;) ;)

 :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

crickey Eileen, I thought I was bad!

So some are going to neighbour, son and sister - what that's then? One each?  ;)

I think paying £25 for one plant is extravagant, but £25 for hundreds, if not thousands of plants is a bloody good bargain!  :D
gone to pot :D

You got it Aqui - one seed each  ;D ;D ;D

I've bought mainly perennial seeds as I'm not too keen on annuals unless they're self seeding.

Anybody got a spare acre or two of land???????  ;) ;)

Received my 50p seeds today - unfortunately two of them were out of stock :(  Maybe it's just as well as when I gazed into my over-flowing greenhouse I thought to myself, I must be mad, what am I going to do with all these extra plants :o    Mind you, unbeknown to me when I ordered, one of them takes up to two years to germinate - never mind, I will just have to be patient ::) ;D

Hey, just had a thought..... if I steamed all the packets open I could have some of EVERYTHING all for myself (greed mode) ;D ;D ;D

Still don't know where I'm going to plants another 12 packs of seeds though, really should not have been tempted by quite so many.

AA meeting time I think.   :P
