Pricking out depth
« on: April 15, 2004, 16:31:46 »
Hi all,
When I pricked out my tomatoes I buried them to their first true leaves (after advice here) and they've done very well.  Is it OK to do the same with chilli and courgette seedlings ... both are a little leggy so would benefit, in stability terms, from having more stem underground.  But I don't want to damage them – any thoughts?  Cheers, Paul

It's my standard technique with leggy seedlings and seems to work

That's good to hear.  Was worried it was confined simply to tomatoes.  Thanks for the replies, Paul

How long a minute is  depends on what side of the  bathroom door you're on.
